MOSHI, TANZANIA: Lions Club of Moshi Kibo has embarked on re-painting of all zebra crossing patches as part of the club’s Road Safety Campaign in the current Lionistic Year.
Spokesman of the club, Lion Indejeet Singh Rehal said in his email report that the club has embarked on the road safety campaign, a project which is one of the regular features in the calendar of this club. A total of TShs. 1,200,000/= will be spent on this project.
The club wishes to thank all the Donors who have contributed towards this project. The Cabinet Secretary Lion Kishore Simzia and Region Chairperson Lion Godfrey Sawe have congratulated the club for taking up this project in Moshi.
Moshi town, situated on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free standing mountain in the world, has won several awards for being the number-one cleanest town in Tanzania. The several bylaws enacted by the Moshi Municipality Council has ensured the town to look spik and span. The environment is well looked after by the respective authorities concerned and the Lions Club of Moshi Kibo also undertakes its community service responsibility.
